Volpe is an extravagant display typeface that just fell out of a peach tree. A contemporary reinterpretation of Manuscript Capitals, a decorative typeface designed by Bob Newman in 1972, while also referencing the late 19th century classic Harper, by Gustave F. Schroeder. Volpe Classic honours the original outlined style, while Volpe Modern extracts the famously distinctive letterforms from their confinement, bringing them into a new era. Four additional Layered styles grant isolated access to each of Volpe Classic’s elements for multi-colour applications.
The uppercase typeface features 6 upright styles: Modern, Classic, Layered Top, Layered Outline, Layered Middle and Layered Fill. Its extended Latin character set features over 900 glyphs, supports over 75 languages and includes a wide range of stylistic sets, small capitals, contextual and stylistic alternates, various initial forms, ligatures & more…
